Can u please explain ki hibernation disable karne se kya hoga? And what abt page file?

Sure mate, under Hibernation, Your Windows reads the RAM and completelly writes all the data from RAM to your HDD under a file called hiberfil.sys which is located at your OS drive means the C: partition... and lets your to power off the system...

When resuming the Windows Reads from the file and transfer all the data back to the ram to resume the session where u left it...

So, if you have a 2 GB RAM hiberfil.sys file size would be more than 2 GB :) if you disable the hibernate, Windows will no longer need more than 2 GB for the hiberfil.sys file !!! and u have 2 GB free space in the HDD :D

same with Page file...

Default location is C: and its 1.5 times of your RAM size... so if you have 2 GB RAM windows will reserve 3GB for Page file under your windows partion which is C: :( move that to another paritition means u once again have a 3 GB free space :D

enabling hibernation will create a some file called hiberfile.sys in the root of system drive...
The file size is equal to the size of the ram u have...

by disabling it u will save the space in system drive equal to the ram u have...

next is page file -->it's virtual memory..is nothing but pagefile.sys in the root of the system drive..
u must not disable it..
but u can change it's location by System properties>>Advanced>>Virtual memory..select the drive u want...
