transperancies in win

can anyone help me out setting transperancies in win 98 or suse or win XP...
like the ones done in best desktop competion without using 3rd party softwares....... :?:

i dont get u ..what exactly u mean by transperencies ???plz explain...... u mean transperent Icon Text ??? Taskbar ,start menu etc ???

with default shell, win98 don't have transperency, while win 2000 and win xp has...... also the software should support transperency.

Hmm.. You can use PowerMenu for setting transparencies in WinXP .. Its available for download at XP Powertoys page ..

Transparency would work with XP and 2000 only, not 98. There are many tools out there thru which you can change the transparency settings of the Taskbar. Here are a few:
