Transfering texts

Hi,

How to transfer texts from Samsung SIII to the 5t? Is there a smart switch or something for non Samsung phones? For messages used many apps, they copy each sms individually but after restoring them they are not sorted date wise. Smart switch is just too good, I hope there is a way to use that here.

I use Super Backup for backup/restore. You might need to clear data of default sms app (not sms storage app) after restoring messages.

Depends on what you want to do with them. IIRC, there is a system generated xml file which contains all sms and mms data. Message app just parses that file.

Tried deleting the unneeded messages from that xml file but it is not restoring the rest.

No one. I thought maybe we can copy selective messages that way.
