IM AS MAD AS HELL!!
Hello Everyone , i am nowdays facing a strange problem since 2 months . firstly i thought this of system components but now i think it is os problem .

i am useing Windows XP Professional SP3 and my pc configuration is ok to run some daily applications . but sometimes it Gives less FPS 1-2 in very old games , even MS Office Word , Firefox Yahoo messenger , hangs a lot and the pointer even moves slowly .

I thought this of Virus Problem , i have scanned for virus with my Licansed Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0 With Latest Updates .

i have scanned the whole system thorughly .

I reinstall windows xp at some intervals . but the problem persists .

i think there would be some problem with PSU . i have 400 W PSU and this is my configuration

AMD 3500+ 2.2 GHz
MSI K8 Mobo
512 MB DDR400 RAM
nVIDIA 8400GS
Pinacle TV Tuner
PS/2 K/b mouse

and a bunch of USB Devices . around 4 USB devices are connected all the time and 4 unused (Cables for mobiles /PSP)

Your system is probably slowing down...You have probably been running it for more than 7yrs and 18hrs a day everyday....well think its time to upgrade.

It gives usual fps , but after 1 or 2 mins the fps dropps and this happnes for 15-30 secs after that again 1-2 mins and this process repets .

lost in my world
i agree with gowt1ham,my desktop is older than yours with 3000+ processor(754pin)which is the slowest of amd 64 out there with 512 mb ram and onboard video i run it 24/7 ever since i bought it although these days im only using it to only run torrents and store files across my lan i didnt notice any problem so far
clean you'r pc in regular intervals dust in the ram slots cause my pc to behave these way and gives bsod some times but after cleaning the pc it works fine or change to linux that way you can see some improvement in speed
the only thing unwanted running in your pc that i see from the log is ask toolbar and google update try to remove these two they are annoying
