Currently my dad is using a Toshiba laptop which is monster in size and weight. He really finds it difficult to carry it to office and so i want something light weight for him Requirements are as follows

1 Light in weight.
2. Screen size - i know this is dicey as netbooks are only option in sub 20k with minuscule screen size, but plz suggest what would be better, 10" and plus.
3. processor etc - absolutely no consideration, computer will be using for Tally and may be used for rarest of the rare, movie watching.
4. HDD -> Any thing above 20GB is good.
5. Price - Preferably sub 20k
6. OS -> XP Preferred as he is acquainted with it. Possibility (in future) of upgrade to windows 7 would be good but not necessary.
7. DVD Drive -> Good if exists. Not a compulsion
8. Connectivity -> Min 2 USB ports preferred, LAN and Wifi HAVE to be there, no compromise on that.

Please suggest

Why should anyone go for either a Lenovo or Acer ... with specs of
1GB RAM/160GB HDD/Win XP that is it basically, then go for Gigabyte M1022 it has
1GB RAM/250GB HDD/Win 7 Starter/Docking station/ 3.5 embeded. though a few bucks more but it has 3.5 embeded. 3G services are offered by BSNL in 12 cities. Now to use 3G if you buy lenovo or Dell or Acer, it doesnt even have 35 Antenna built in. So they are useless.
So better go for Gigabyte Booktop M1022 which has 2 version 1. with 3G Antenna built in 2. another model with 3G embeded. It comes with docking station an extra super cool accessory..... 250GB HDD. WIn 7 starter. The best netbook in the segment.

The docking station apart from providing a host of Ports, D-Sub also charges the battery M1022 simultaneously while you are connected to a bigger screen. Helps ur eyes are not strained when you are working in home and when not mobie.
* When it is docked and you connect to an external display the card reader is still operational so 3G data card can be inserted and 3G broadband can be availed.
* 2 versions of Booktop 1. 3G card built-in 2. 3G card embeded
* The above model has some stickers on it. so do not consider that.
* Light weight good design in the final round of German IFA awards, foremost design awards in the World

Unique functionalities of Booktop M1022
1. Push the right click button when the system is off and those 6 LEDs show you how much battery you have left.
2. The touch pad may be small, but it uses an ELan tech smart mousepad system:
a. Tap with 3 fingers and it’s the same as a right click
b. Drag upwards with 3 fingers and it takes you to My Computer
c. Drag downwards with 3 fingers and it’s the same as Alt Tab – you can jump between windows
d. Drag left or right with 3 fingers for the arrow functions on Firefox – so if I want to go to a previous page of this review I drag left with 3 fingers
e. Move two fingers apart or together to zoom in or zoom out
f. Tap down onto a Jpeg image with 1 finger and drag the other finger around to rotate the image
g. All of these functions are programmable so you can customize it according to your preference
