Suggest a Config for Gaming PC

papul1993

not a newbie.....
Hi. Please help me build a gaming PC.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans: Gaming all the latest and not so old games at 4K and decent FPS.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.
Ans: 2 lakhs.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows and Linux dual boot.

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB as boot and game data drive ought to be enough, right?

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. 4K. 27" should be good enough, I guess.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I don't have any desktop components atm. So I will have to buy everything.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: As soon as possible.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes. Last in 2012.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Assam. Buying online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Nope.

27 inch 1440p gaming would be crisp plus the rig can push more fps for better experience.

Newer games take up alot of storage, buy a fast 1TB for the os and extra storage for games ( sata ssd would be fine. They should be a bit less costly).

And GPU market really really sucks right now,
It's overpriced. In about 6 months or so, newer GPus will launch, which should also reduce previous generation gpu's prices.

If u are going to build right now it's 4080super or 7900xtx (both at 1lakh INR)
After that you are left with 1lakh for the rest of the components.

I will recommend 4080S over 7900XTX easily because RT matter at this performance class & DLSS upscaling is superior. 16GB VRAM should be good for 4K textures, at least till PS6 launch.

But if you are thinking of buying a high end GPU, can decide to wait for RTX 5080.

Monitor - 4K 144Hz options like Samsung G7 & Gigabyte M28U costs around 40-45k, wait for upcoming sale on amazon for monitor deals

Cpu - 7800x3d - 34k
Mobo - gigabyte aorus elite ax v2 - 24k
RAM - DDR5 6000mhz, cl30 16*2 sticks - 11k
(Gskill trident , fx 5 or Corsair vengence as example, do pick cl30)
Psu - coolermaster vgold v2 750 -8.5k
SSD - wd black sn770 - 6.6k
Air cooler - peerless Assassin 120se -8k
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Total - 92.1k
U are left with 8k for a monitor which I believe wouldn't be sufficient for the specs you are looking for.
( Maybe opt for a cheaper mobo like asrock pg lightning and sn580 SSD etc would cut the cost down )
+1lakh for the 4080super
( I also agree with @omega44-xt )

Nevermind, u still need a cabinet
Lian Li lancool 216 -8k maybe?
It's a really good case with good airflow, but it comes at 8k.
Gamer's Nexus has a video on the cabinet.
