Skylake OS Question

I recently upgraded to skylake and am using Windows 10 Pro presently but when I tried to install Win 8.1 Pro it is not letting me install.
What is the solution for my problem?

You upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1? If that then your key for 8.1 gets changed for a 10 license
