Hai fellow TDF'ians,

Should I upgrade now or not?

My Present Config is as follows:

Intel Core i5 4670S | Gigabyte B85M-D3H | Gainward GTX660 2GB | Kingston V+200 240GB | Corsair VS550 | Corsair Vengeance 8GB(2x4GB) 1600MHz | Corsair 300R | Dell ST2220L | Cooler Master Devastator Gaming Bundle | Logitech Z313 | Antec 120mm x3/140mm x2 Blue LED fans | APC 600VA UPS.

I want to upgrade to the following:
MSI H97M-G43 | Zotac GTX960 2GB | Corsair CX600 | Bitfenix Prodigy M Case.

Can my present GPU GTX660 2GB enough for 2-3 years of gaming, Corsair VS Series is not even supporting my Config as it is shutting down abruptly while I am gaming, Being future proof in Mobos is good or not, I always wanted a Micro ATX Cabinet at least.

Please suggest to me as I have a Upgrade BUG in me as I cannot sit without upgrading in a while. How to stop it and be content with what I have.

Thanks & Regards,
BSSunil

Why do you want to upgrade mobo? Rest I can understand but unless you want to OC, don't upgrade the mobo. :|

Yes I am using Turbo Boost from stock 3.1Ghz to 3.8Ghz but it is restarting simply because I am using the stock fan. Is the present Mobo not suitable for even using Turbo Boost or should I use any after market heatsink for such a purpose.

I want to buy MSI H97M-G43(Mobo) + Bitfenix Prodigy M(Case) + Cyberpower BU1000-IN(UPS) + Cooler Master Seidon 120v Plus(CPU Cooler) and keep using my existing GTX 660 GPU and will upgrade after GTX 960Ti comes into the market later in the year.

How are my choices?

Please suggest any alternatives if possible.

Your config is really good-just upgrade to a better psu and a faster gpu(in future)and you'll have no trouble in running the graphically intense games that will be released over the next few years.

GTX 660 is a good GPU, I don't see any sense in upgrading this year.
Thanks.

GTX960Ti later in the year.
Will go with Bitfenix Prodigy M(Case) + Cyberpower BU1000-IN(UPS) + Cooler Master Seidon 120v(CPU Cooler) + Corsair CX600(PSU) instead.
Will keep my existing B85 Mobo. I think its not the Mobo but the CPU overheating so need a good CPU Cooler.
Thanks for everything.

Have not used any above specified pastes but will do so and use Cooler Master Hyper 212X(CPU Cooler).
Will go with Bitfenix Prodigy M(Case) + MSI H97M-G43(Mobo) + Cyberpower BU1000-IN(UPS) + Cooler Master Hyper 212X(CPU Cooler) + Corsair CX500(PSU) instead.

This will be final. Thanks again for your valuable inputs.

no need to upgrade mobo. corsair 300r is a great cabinet. since you are already changing your psu, get seasonic s12ii520 (from overclockerszone)

I did not check the temps but I pulled back my CPU to stock speed and even now some problems are there.

that is mostly because of psu, not mobo. why spend money on unnecessary things? isolate issue first and then proceed further!

If the issue is because of the PSU then why spend unnecessarily on the Mobo. I have to check it thoroughly then..
But I dont have extra Mobo to test. What to do?
