Samsung NP550P5C-S01 DVD Drive replacement.

Im currently possessing the i5 version of Samsung NP550P5C (i.e S01). Now is it possible to replace its DVD optic drive with BLU RAY drive (like the one in its i7 version)?? If possibe, please provide me with a link from where i can purchase the BR drive...

I don't think any OEM drive will fit into your lappy.

yes why not, but why do you want to do that. dont you think you are making your existing DVD drive unusable.
and as dexbg said only OEM drives by samsung will fit in, hence you need to contact your service center, or try outside for checking blu-ray drives.

If you want a genuine suggestion, it would be to get a blu-ray drive something like this LG WH14NS40 Internal Blu-ray Writer and box it or get an external blu-ray burner preferably from Asus (even you can look out internal drive)
External enclosures of size 5.25 will work for blu-ray drives as well.
