my M 21 becomes dull in sunlight inspite of full brightness .im told this is a samsung issue,a feature which cant be removed.is there a way out..otherwise can i be suggested a phone which doesnt have this issue ,any other brand(ironically i switched to samsung because of its non chinese origin).my requirement is a basic 4 GB RAM android phone with 5G preferred, dual sim.

Yes, phones do make blacks grey or so & skew some colours to make the screen easier to view in harsh sunlight as displays aren't bright enough, more so in the case of budget AMOLED. Also many mid range & flagship phones does boost its brightness beyond what's possible with keeping the brightness slider at max when it detects harsh sunlight, this is time limited though.

IMO its not an issue as it just happens in harsh sunlight. Only phones whose display can look good in harsh sunlight are flagship phones with 1000+ nits max brightness (even if it is for limited duration).

Turn off adaptive brightness if you want, phone will stop changing brightness on its own though.
