Two days ago I saw a "deal" at rediff.com shopping. They had advertised three umbrellas for Rs.222. The advt. also informed that the umbrellas were of imported quality, with steel rods and generally gave me the impression that the umbrellas would be their money's worth.
I went ahead and ordered this three set which was sold by some Ojjas Enterprises, Goregaon, Mumbai. When I received the parcel and opened it, I had the shock of my life. The umbrellas were of very inferior quality. The rods were not of steel as claimed by them. It was some inferior metal made to look like steel. The clothing of the umbrella was even worse. I thought the umbrellas will not stand the fury of even two mumbai rains. Moreover I had to pay Rs.50 extra as shipping for this inferior umbrellas. Even one of the umbrellas had a gaping 8 inch hole on it's top!!!
I exhort members to be wary of this kind of attractive deals doing the rounds on the net. I strongly advise all of you to desist from buying anything from rediff.com shopping site.
When I contacted the seller, Ojjas Enterprises, they simply told me to send the umbrella back them for an exchange!!! Of course the courier charges will be on me.
