yes 16:10 was the original aspect ratio but to make with same assembly line as TV most manufacturer promoted 16:9

yeah for reading perspective more vertical space is always good.

Thanks for the suggessions guys, I got the U2412M for Rs. 17,300 from a local vendor. I am loving it so far.
