Ram And Graphic Card Upgrade

We have Intel 915GAV board with P4 2.6 GHz processor. It has 128 Mb inbuilt graphics and 256 mb ddr ram. My younger brother want to play games like doom3, quake4 etc. What upgrade we need.

Well I would suggest to go for a Geforce 6600GT.Exellent performance for the price(around 8K to 10 k).But if you can strecth ur budget a little more
I would suggest Geforce 6800GS for around 15K,thats what I've heard.
This is an amazing card and is much for future proof than the 6600GT when it comes to playing the latest games with all the eye-cany on.
But finally its up to you.

i suggest upgragin the first
atleast 512mb for gamin dude !!!
since u have a 256 stick, add another one with same frequency (cost = 1400 bucks)


and the graphic card is budget issue

mind u bein able to play the game is different frm enjoyin the graphics in it

the lowest budget card which can playall games above the regular 25 fps
is the 6600 non gt (cost = 6k)
goin for a still lower 6200 will not let u the eye candy in high end games

and as of now the INN thing is the 6600gt (cost = 10k)
it can play all the games with all the eyecandy
and u can bank on it for atleast 2 yrs frm now
