hi friends.i am in big confusion.i wnat 2 buy a pc.but when i see the i found that there is lots that i dont know.abt motherboard processor and all hardware.i have questions like
what is ddr in ram?
which makes processor faster its ghz or cache or its core?
intel or amd?
i want to know about that so is there any ebooks or links please tell me.

3.Depends on the model you have chosen.Currently Intel's core 2 duo is the best
desktop processor technology.So I recommend you go for this.

Hey how can you say VIMAL that only C2D is the best technology

I USE AMD ATHLON FX 74 its much more higher then C2D extreme also

check the benchmarks and AMD is never behind... INTEL LACKS BEHIND ALWAYS,,

i am not saying that intels bad, i have that too but certainly not the best..

I was not talking about raw speed,I was talking about technology and AFAIK AMD has no answer for c2d at present.
For your information I am an AMD user as well (athlon 64 3200+)

hey buddy C2d is beaten by AMD ATHLON FX 74 read its reviews ... THATS THE ANSWER AND ITS QUAD FX IS ALSO LAUNCHED BEFORE INTELS quad core

so FX 74 runs on 3.0 and beats c2d by a long diff.
