Feel Pain.
My brother is in 12th RIght now. He is considering moving out(Due to the condition in this country + Didnt prepare for any entrance)

He want to pursue computer science.

1).What are all the requirements(Like what exams have to be given?)

2)What are all the documents required? (Passport and Visa I know, anything else?)

3)Which country is good + economical?(we have a blood relation with a PR holder in Canada, does it helps in getting PR?) I am leaning towards canada but want to know more options.

4)When and where should he apply?

5)How to find the best college?

6) How much will be the expense(give yearly and total both, tuition as well as living expense.)

7)IS there any scholarship which he can avail?

8) If he take a drop for Entrance this year and does not clear, Can he apply again in 2023 given he completes his 12th this year(2022)

9) Do He need a agent or can do all this process on his own? (This is first time He isapplying)

10) How much marks are required? He scored 94% in 9th, 90.6% in 10th, but in 11th due to covid he scored only 45%. Now cbse changed exam pattern this year and scored around 86% in Term 1.

Guys with experience pls help out!!

1. TOFEL/IELTS for english. Maybe SAT as well.

2. Depends on country

3. Not sure for Bachelors, exceptional students do get scholarships, tougher for lower degrees like BS vs say a PhD

4. Have to research. Check EU, AUS, NZ as well as US (will surely be expensive)

5. Times (THE ranking), US News, QS rankings

6. Maybe expect like INR 20 lakhs per year, with living expense, but can be less as well. Do your research.

7. Tough, not impossible tough

8. Most likely yes. There will always be low ranking universities looking for cash cows

9. Most agents are bad, they have tie ups with some universities, so will push you there & not give the best option. Have to do your own research online. Check yocket & there are some FB groups which might help. Contacting students who are already outside will helps, someone from extended friend circle.

10. I doubt 11th matters, but maybe it does. Higher is better always, extracurricular also matters. Good olympiad rankings, etc will help.

For India, try for decent private colleges, at least something in top 100 in say NIRF rankings. High ranking colleges have better campus placements. With CS degree, getting a job in IT service sector should be relatively easy (won't be served to you for sure).

extracurricular also matters.
What is good for extracurriculars? All state Olympiad were cancelled/postponed due to COVID. He has given Olympiads till 10th class as well as won medals in regional level, but they all are private ones and I don't think so they are recognised.

He participated in WRO2017 and got a gold medal in Regional competition. Now wro is recognised by STEM organization as well as big colleges like Harvard. Will it help?

In the zone
These are all abstract:
If u guys have germany i mind , u could get scholarship from DAAD , if u guys can u should go to the office
its a german govt site connected with embassy IIRC(as i tried , but covid said hello to India when i got a ticket for counselling in delhi , so everything from there went downhill )
watch this
also German language itself is quite useful in Europe
i wouldnt suggest an agent , also it would be better if he gets into a public uni

Not much idea of what helps, especially for Bachelors.
