Hello! I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I've been battling this problem for the last few months and I just decided to give up in the middle. I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS SOLVED NOW because I can't access a lot of programs I used regularly like iTunes and Indesign.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the error message I get whenever I try to launch iTunes. I'm also attaching a copy of the text document that is sent to Windows during error reporting.

ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED! Thanks in advance! *www.pcreview.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

P.S. The files are larger than the allowed limit. Please downlaod them from another post I've made here: *www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=10981667#post10981667

where is the screenshot??

If the problem is only with iTunes than it is due to some codec pack you might have installed in your system.Same happends to me so it's like either use codecs or use iTunes.

Few Basic Steps... please try to follow those...

  • Get a good AntiVirus (Kaspersky / NOD 32) and disable the system restore then run a Complete system scan
  • Visit, update.microsoft.com to update ur Windows Installation...
  • Install the updated version of iTunes
  • Make sure you have all the upto date device drivers...

If possible then please post ur system config too

^^^ YEAH slugger buddy its indeed a maze of links

@ jase_mellow : solution is re installing the software ..some what do one more thing

1> run>command>sfc /scannow (put ur xp-cd in the drive and then do the step)

sfc (System File Checker) will see if any files are altered or missing your problem is due to missing files just see that its restored ..once restored just restore and install itunes and enjoy
