Prince of Persia problem

Hey there i have a real annoying problem Whenever i try to install "Prince of Persia:Sands of Time" game....the installer runs and loads perfectly but when i start the game,it shows this error....
"Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application"
Is there something i can do so that i cud run this game....
And also it is showing that the "function main has failed to execute"....
I guess ut doesnt recognise my specifications???becuase i have intel915GAG mother board........is my guess true???
It is an original cd

the game should run on a 915 so the graphics subsystem is not a problem. either the game installation is corrupt in which case you can replace the CD for a new one.

by the way the game has some issues running on win vista and XP64 bit .
