Pls help me with a digital camera.

I need a Digital camera, just for taking pics & saving them on my laptop. A moderate specs will do. I have zeroed on the Canon powershot A460/560.Is there any better option? My budget is approx 8000/-.Please do not suggest Sony, since it's card do no fit my Compaq lap.Also please suggest the expected price in Kolkata.

Please suggest.I need it really within a week.

I have Canon A550. Its pretty good you should be able to get it for Rs 8999. I dont know the price in Kolkata though!
