Hi Guys,
I installed Truecaller app in my S7 a couple of months back. I lost the sim with which I registered it. Now it is asking for an update. If I install an apk file, it gives an error The package conflicts with an existing package by the same name error. Is it possible to bypass this error without uninstalling the installed app?
I tried this method, Go to Settings > Lock screen and security > Secure startup. Whatever Secure Startup is set to, toggle it (i.e. turn it on if it's off and turn it off if it's on), then reboot. Installing APKs over system apps works now. (It's from other mobile forum)
I am using the swipe to unlock phone setting. So, there was nothing in secure startup. I added my fingerprints and then opened secure startup, it said a. do not require pin at startup, b. requires pin at startup. Point a. was selected there. I selected b. and rebooted the phone. It asked for the pin at startup, after the reboot was complete I got the same error. I even secured it with a pin and then rebooted but the result was the same. What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks
