Okay guys after lurking on XDA for pretty long, way too long I think, I am going back to Samsung again.

Now the thing is I was going for G900F for sure. But I was checking the specs and kinda shocked to find out that Note 3 has extra 1 gig of RAM than S5? WTF?

So what do you guys think, should I go for Note 3 or S5? From my personal experience I know that Note lineups' TouchWiz is better optimized than any S series'. But my personal experience is from Note 2 and S4, as I personally had them and used them extensively, but does that retain for S5 and Note 3 too?

The only thing I like on S5 over Note 3 is the IP67 certification, is it enough? Also portability / one-hand-usage might become a factor too, unsure.

Please suggest. (I am talking about Snapdragon variants only, however I see that for Note 3 slight Exynos support is there actually, still)

PS : Flipkart reviewers and Shamesung haters, stay away kindly, a humble request.

S4 has 1.6GHz Clockspeed while note3 has 1.9GHz.
S4 has 2gb and note 3 has 3gb ram
s4 5inch and note 5.7inch
But s4 has richer display with 441ppi compared to 386 ppi

will recommend Note 3....
BTW Both has Exynos 5 Octa <<< Downpoint!!!
You can get Snapdragon 801 in that price range!!!

Get a S5 with snapdragon not the exynos model. With Snapdragon you can get more than 2 major android release by custom support

Exynos devices see support too but you will come across more bugs due to incompatible driver for custom rom support in future android releases

Excpet the design [some like some dont] S5 is a top notch device IMO as a flagship device [comparing with devices which was released in the same period]

BTW whats your budget

@ithehappy.... oh, my bad:|
s5 has plus point with Snapdragon 801

Go with S5 unless you want big screen

Unlocked bootloader OOB
Easy to flash custom ROM [Saw rooting guide for my friend's Sony Xperia phew]
Removable battery
and Display

[MENTION=127004]amjath[/MENTION]: No real budget restriction fundamentally, but won't pay more than 35-36k for sure, just because I promised I won't pay that much for a mobile phone.

I'm not even considering the Exynos versions, ONLY Snapdragon.
To be quite honest I don't like the design of S5, nor I like TouchWiz, nor I'm a huge fan of those two meaningless stuffs Samsung put in the name of Heart Rate sensor and ultra crappy Fingerprint scanner, but S5 is the only phone where users have not reported any hardware complaints, all of them have it, be it G3 or Z2. I still like Z2 to be quite honest, at least it runs less bloated Android skin but that self crackling issue and Sony's immense arrogance about camera post processing is not really acceptable :-(

I just can't get over the screen to body ratio of Note 3, it is bigger than S5 but it has 0.6" additional display size. It has better speaker output. It has better voice call quality. It has better software (optimization like I said in OP, however unconfirmed) and additional 1 gig of memory and last but not the least the S-Pen.

Keep inputting. If anyone has personal experience with both that'd be great.

You can go for oneplus. Oneplus is going to announce something for india next week. Maybe they are launching here and invite fir Indians are not that hard now. I asked in group india (at Oneplus forums) and they have hundreds of invite that no one is claiming. I tried to give them mine and they refused to take it as well as they already had more invites and less members.

I am a samsung hater except note series.. honestly I just fiddled with s3 for an hour and then started hating sammy but also touched tablet version of note and note 3 of my friends and they blew my mind! only S-pen feature can beat S series hands down!
So +1 for NOTE 3 qualcomm version(maybe note 4) ..btw also tell me if you find qualcomm snapdragon version!

OPO won't have any service centre. Thats better then xiaomi. Because xiaomi has service centres which are useless. OPO will be follow WD method. WD doesn't have any service centres you make a call their guy comes and pick up your damaged harddisk and you get repaired or replaced harddisk in 1/2 week. I like this method. That's why i only buy WD hard disks. And my choices or preference doesn't matter . we are here to provide opinion or more choices to other user's who are asking for help. Rest is upto them.

I think this is a big factor that people do not take into consideration. I had a Lava 501 earlier and the 5 inch size seemed too big for comfortable one handed use. I ditched it to take up a 4 inch phone and i am now satisfied with a 4.5 incher now (Android now). I have used both note3 and S5 in hand and can vouch for the superiority of the ease of use in S5. Its worth giving up on the extra 0.5 inches for IMO
