Microsoft quietly announced this week that it has released version 1.5 of its Windows Live OneCare security and antivirus offering to manufacturing.

That means that the upgrade is on track to be ready just in time to be announced with the consumer release of Windows Vista and Office 2007 at the end of the month.

Not surprisingly, chief among the new features and capabilities being added with 1.5 is compatibility with -- you guessed it -- Windows Vista.

Thanks for the NEWS :)

but CNET Review on OneCare:
Rating- 6.3/10
The good: Windows Live OneCare provides a mini IT department for those who want a managed service to provide antivirus, antispyware, and firewall services.

The bad: Windows Live OneCare requires the removal of all third-party security software from your PC first, works only with Internet Explorer 6 or higher, and can still produce an "everything's OK" reading after scanning with old signature files.

how do you guys rate OneCare, when compared to other Security Suites. (Kaspersky Internet Security, ZoneAlarm Security Suite....)
