News- AAA Battery powered Mobile - Olive

I have heard the Indian Telecom company Olive will soon be launching a AAA battery powered mobile phone. In face it's a really nice piece of technology. It works on the principle that the AAA battery acts as a backup for the primary Rechargeable battery. When the primary battery runs out of juice, the AAA battery can charge the primary for a duration of three hours. In case you need more charge and there's no other power outlet nearby (or you're in the habit of forgetting your mobile charger ) then all you have to do is pop in another AAA battery.

I think this is really interesting concept. In fact the only other mobile phone which was similar was phillips xenium.

The price of the Olive Dual power Hybrid AAA battery phone will be somewhere in the region of Rs 2000 to 2500.

That's a really interesting concept and product idea that you have shared. In fact to tell you the truth, i wasn't even aware that such a hybrid mobile phone with AAA battery power was made. In case Olive Telecom is coming out with the AAA powered mobile phone, as you have said, it would be helpful to people who chat on the phone a lot ( come to think of it everybody chats on the mobile phone a lot ...lol) hmm seems really interesting. What is your source for this information and what it the olive telecom website. I mean i am a techie so would be interested about this AAA powered mobile phone. Additionally out of curiosity i checked the Olive website which feature the Battery Powered mobile phone in it's products lineup. The link is

Customer service tells me that the launch date for the aaa mobile phone is sometime in the first week of March. On the face of it seems like a pretty innovative product. Hope other mobile phone manufacturers take the cue and make mobile phones with similar innovative features in them. Some companies like Samsung and lg have made solar mobile phones. With the competition i guess mobile handset manufacturers have to think of more innovative features to add. Added a few attachments for the olive hybrid mobile
