New PC Recommendation

Hi All,

I am back and glad my account is still active 19+ years now :) ,the last PC built was for 2021 but gave it my father with in short time, the forum has helped me build 3 PCs earlier and requesting the 4th Build now.. Earlier was super active in catching up trends in the latest market and updates on Hardware, but confined to work .. work ... work .

Posting the filled-in questionnaire below :

. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans:

I’m an architect and a programmer , so I run multiple apps at once -- > stuff like IDEs, Tomcat servers, and databases. I tend to keep everything open and leave the PC running for weeks, since I’m pretty impatient to get them up again. My programming setups, like IntelliJ Studio, Android Studio and Tomcat, JBoss servers,, My apps alone can easily eat up 32 to 40 GB of RAM + Chrome tabs = 64 GB is must.
Besides app development, I also use it for general stuff like Adobe Photoshop and video editing software. I need at least some graphics support and would like recommendations on whether GFX card is really required.. ( Adobe PS , Basic Video editing, been long time using it, but cannot get time for this now but want to use for basic editing if ever time permits).
Aiming for at least 64 GB DDR5 and a future-proof motherboard ( RAM should be upgradeable without having to ditch the to-be build RAM , should have enough slot for future) . Am planning to take an AI/ML course in the next 6 months—if it involves GPU usage, would a good graphics card come in handy?

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention it.
Ans: Can stretch up to 1- 1.2 Lakh max if its going to be future proof. ( Please let me know if this budget would not fit my requirements can go bit over it ).

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 11

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: HDD 2 TB / SSD 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.

Ans: 24" /27inch Monitor , I have a 24inch Monitor which I can continue to use, but can go with new too. ( Have a younger brother working at Samsung ,can get some good discount on Samsung Monitors, but sometimes SP Road Bengaluru discounts are better than emp discount , will take a call depending on the final price)

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Immediately

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I used to do it myself the first two PCs I did, now I am outdated and not confident with the latest stuff, and will get it done by an Assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Bengaluru ( SP Road , Need recommendations if any specific shops ) , I'm open to online buying

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans
I have no clue which is the best cabinet, not even sure whether I would need any cooling option as CPU intensive tasks are involved please suggest.

I did check out a few recent posts before asking for suggestions, including this one: [ forum post "New Gaming PC under 1 Lakh" ]. (@omega44-xt suggested pcpricetracker link). *pcpricetracker.in/b/s/95de28f3-6fc8-403b-899f-314baf1d0bce
Do you think I actually need a graphics card like the ASUS Dual Radeon RX 7700 XT OC Edition 12GB GDDR6 for my use case? will it help my upcoming ML course soon, and if it needs GPU power, would this card be useful? Or suggest anything fitting my need.
PS : Inclined towards Intel Build , if not suggesting please justify. ( checked CPU comparisons, except power consumption and gaming Ryzen looses out, so please justify)

Please let me know if anything is missing. I’d appreciate your suggestions for the PC configuration, as I'm focusing on getting the best future-proof setup.

Thanks and Regards,
Abhijith

SP Road shops to check - Ankit Infotech (PCStudio) & SCL (Super Computers & Laptops)

R5 7600 based rig will be fine, get 2x 32GB 6000MHz RAM instead, even CL36 will be fine as you are not into gaming.

GPU - 5060Ti 16GB is 50k, good for productivity (Ankit Infotech had a Zotac model in stock today morning but now OOS, maybe SCL will have something) - Nvidia is generally better than AMD even though AMD has more raw gaming performance with VRAM
