New laptop purchased

Hi, i recently purchased a vaio laptop, model VPCEB36FG. The ram is 4gb. But in the windows properties, the usable ram is shown less than 4gb. Why is it so? The laptop has Core i3, ATI 5650 and win7 Home Premium x64. Where is that missing memory used?

Maybe its being shared by the switchable gfx. Check BIOS sett. and report back. Also post snap of win sys properties.

Check how much the BIOS is showing. Also check using CPU-Z.

Also, I removed your image, the PROD ID. is visible.
