New laptop purchase

I want to buy a new laptop (for development/coding purposes). my requirements are as follows.
1) What is your budget?
-> 60K to 70K


2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

• screen size: min 14'

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
=> coding/ development (newbie in big data technology )


5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

1. processor:- i5 and above
2. Memory:- min 12 GB
3. Hard disc::- min 512 SSD or 1 TB HDD
4. Video card:-Intel Integrated/ min 2 Gb


4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: HP, DELL, MSI
b. Dislike: ASER, COMPAQ


6) Anything else you would like to say?

• Screen resolution: FHD would be preferable
• Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ) : min 3-4 hrs
• Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / Abroad (do mention the country) ) : during locakdown perios mostly online but if situation permit can buy from store also.

Please suggest options.

Don't go with convertibles since RAM will be soldered onto the mobo and you cannot add more RAM to such laptops. Keep this in mind.

But better see that you go with any compact laptops whose RAM can be expanded and Ryzen is best in your use case scenario.

I bought my MSI 7REX laptop which came with 8GB only at first so I went to the local dealer who sold me another 8GB and even helped me fit the RAM on the motherboard.
Don't go with convertibles since RAM will be soldered onto the mobo and you cannot add more RAM to such laptops. Keep this in mind.

But better see that you go with any compact laptops whose RAM can be expanded and Ryzen is best in your use case scenario.

Sir but in 1st year of warranty can it be a good option to open a new laptop and add another 8 GB to it? just curious because if anything happens to it we can get a replacement or any kind of support for it, but if we open it then can they provide support?

Better get the quotes fro customer care if they will honor the warranty even if you opened laptop to upgrade RAM. Send email and ask them to reply in email. Decide based on their reply.
