new 2560 x 1080 monitor

I am thinking of getting a second monitor. My current monitor is a 1080p samsung. Can my graphics card ( R9 280x ) support a additional 2560 x 1080 monitor. My signature has my system specifications.


I intend to make the new 2560 x 1080 monitor as my primary display. The original display will be occasionally used (for non gaming uses) .

I am looking for a cheap monitor with at least one vdi, one Hdmi input. I have shortlisted LG 21:9 UltraWide 25UB55.

I welcome all suggestions.
