Essentially, I need portability and GREAT battery life. I've narrowed down to essentially three models- Samsung NP300E4Z (Samsung 14" Laptop= NP300E4Z-A06IN= Dual Core 2nd Gen.-B950,2GB Ram,320GB,DOS | eBay) (14 inch with 5-6 hours reported battery life), Samsung NP305U1A (Samsung NP305U1A-A06IN Laptop (APU Dual Core/ 2GB/ 500GB/ Win7 HB): Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Samsung Netbook) (11.6 inch with 5-6 hours reported battery life) and Lenovo X120e (Lenovo ThinkPad X120e review -- Engadget) (5+ hours reported battery life).
I'm inclined towards the NP300E4Z at the moment. Screen size is perfect, I'm getting it for around 21.500 with a coupon discount on ebay. NP305 I'm getting for around 23.500 and Lenovo x120e has a price of around 22.500 on ebay post discount and 18.500 on Indiaplaza (Buy Lenovo ThinkPad X120e online | Compare price and read reviews | Indiaplaza) (Is this site reliable? Price is amazing).
Portability is not THAT big a deal for me, I can handle something which is 2-2.2 kg but not the 3+ kg behemoth I have currently (HP NX7300). However, I don't want to go in for something greater than 14 inches I just need great battery life. I am also willing to go in for an extended 8 cell or 9 cell battery from third party websites online. Just need the battery life. I'm also willing to consider the Asus U32U (Asus U32U-RX012D Laptop (APU Dual Core/ 2GB/ 320GB/ DOS): Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Asus Netbook) if someone has actually tried it out. I've found extended batteries for the NP300E4Z online. I don't know if an 8 cell exists for the Lenovo x120e.
Please advise!
