I'm looking for a new usb hub that allows multiple(atleast 3 or more)devices to be connected simultaneously.I am currently using an iball lappie usb hub which has been behaving rather strangely of late-sometimes all the devices connected to it lose power and its not unless i unplug it from the usb port and plug it back in that they start working again.
I bought a cheapo 7 port hub from ebay but it turned out to be a piece of trash-while trying to transfer files to usb flash drives via that hub i got pathetically slow copying speeds of around 3-6 kbps.
While browsing on amazon i found a couple of usb 3.0 hubs from tp-link,transcend,amazon-basics etc which were pretty expensive, but didn't look as flimsy or as shoddily built as the iball hub that i have right now.
Are these expensive usb 3 hubs worth their high price and would they be better than lower priced usb 2 hubs as far as reliability and performance are concerned? In particular, the amazon-basics hub seems to have received many favourable reviews from several users-would it be worth buying?
