POCO X2 display showed yellow green lines and then phone suddenly turned off without warning.
As per Xiaomi Customer Service, Display is dead. But if they install new display there are chances of motherboard going dead.
And both parts not available currently. Parts costs approx Display = ~₹7000 and motherboard 256 GB= ~12000.
Their suggestion is don't take any chance by new device.
But still I will try replacing display myself or online service or locally.

Can anyone share their experience for amazon return policy for mobile display? I will try amazon, if they allow return.

Is it official service center. On poco website the display is around 4.4K

I think the will charge you GST + labour charges.

If you don't mind answering which city are you from? If you have multiple service centre you can enquire others as well.

Yes. Official service center.
Mentioned on their site too..
They don't have spare parts and can't confirm availability.
I know the spare parts price. It's also written on their Mi TV in service center.

Problem is that, they are not inspecting which part is gone. Display or Motherboard. They have not even opened this device.
They were repeatedly saying don't waste money buy new phone. Customer only come here for replacing battery or charging problem. Display and motherboard are very costly and customers don't replace it.
"Even if we tried removing display there is no guarantee that device will work. It may damage motherboard. So don't take risk."

I was trying to tell them, at least open device and check which part is gone. Remove screen and check mobile with spare or existing screen or any other device.

At 1st they said motherboard not available then said spare parts (Display) are not available.

Update :
1st Local Repair Shop person said display may be gone. It will be available on Friday. It will cost around 1.7k + service charges.
And for mother board it will cost around 4k + service charges.
1 month warranty for both.

2nd Local Repair Shop said motherboard may be gone. But display might be too. We need to check it.
After discussing with fellow technician they said motherboard chip is gone it will cost you around 1.7k + service charges.
7 days warranty.
Both display and motherboard replacement will cost 5-6k + charges.
1 month warranty.

2nd shop have lots of equipments as I can see their workbench. They provide chip level repair but their shop name and Business card doesn't say so.
"All types of mobile work & service
Specialist in glass broken work and emmc ic & programming work."
We decided to repair device from 2nd shop.

Update :
So finally device repaired.
Total cost ₹2000 = ₹1700 charges for some chip or something + ₹300 service charges
As per previous conversation with technician, he concluded some display related chip may be damaged in motherboard.
As per current condition of device, display not replaced (I can see old temper glass) and motherboard also not replaced as data in intact.
No changes in device software, software is in similar state as it was before display issue happened.
Only date and time were out of sync. So after connecting internet date and time synced and all apps working as it was before.

He mentioned earlier about motherboard chip, but what I can see that display disassembled as few rubber bands are there on device.
And I also think that some minor capacitor may be gone which caused this sudden display shut down.

So now that everything is working. Let's see what happens next within 7 days warranty.

Why mobile service centers don't do chip level repairs and always prefer replacement?
