Check your system temperature settings using mother board monitor

Update to the latest DirectX version, and make sure you get the latest graphics drivers from intels site ...

BTW, which games do you try to play? Modern games wont run on that system.

Go to Start > Run and type dxdiag. It will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Utility and let you see if something is wrong with your directX installation. Even of nothing is wrong, it is alwwya advisable to upgrade to the latest compatible version.

your system is probably low on Virtual Memory.
increase the Virtual Memory and check again.
and do install the latest Direct X 9 c drivers.

There is only one solution for this ----

Remove all cabinet covers.I mean from all sides.Your PC is probably in the corner of a room or something & away from the window. If this is so ( or if not ) take a table fan and place it parallel to the cabinet.

And that should do it.Also compare the Motherboard Voltage Levels from the manual.
