Need a mobile under 5k!!

Samsung, Nokia.

QWERTY. If touchscreen then not resistive.
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera.
a good camera with flash,lets say above 2MP
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).

Android or another except Java
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly.
3G and if possible then WiFi
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)?
None in particular
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)?
Mainly for Internet and SMS.
11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Nokia Asha series

I want this phone mostly for messaging and facebook chat. It MUST have a good internet options.

I don't think you're going to get flash at 5k.
Micromax A57 is ok-ish for the price. If you can raise your budget a bit then Karbonn A15 and Nokia Asha 302(non touch, qwerty) are good options to consider.

Well i can shift my budget to 6500..not more.

Yes- Karbonn A15 [Pros: 1ghz processor, 512mb ram, ICS and the aforementioned]
No- Micromax A68 (Smarty 4.0) [Better processor than A15, 5mp camera+flash]
Common cons: Indian brand (i.e. less reliability). VERY little to no dev support. No upgrades.

Non Android:
Nokia Asha 302
Pros: QWERTY, 3.2mp cam, 3g, Nokia reliability, the ever-popular Symbian S40
Cons: None, much.
Nokia Asha 311 as mentioned above, if you want touch. A friend of mine is happy with this phone. Only gripe is that it takes an age to change screen orientation.

i was also thinking for Nokia Asha 302. i dont want 3G. i just want a god internet connection so that i can facebook with ease... GPS is no use to me
