.msg format help!!

when I mailed some of my emails from webmail account of my college to gmail; all messages were sent as attachments in .msg format..
now when I tried to open them in gmail I couldn't be able to view them properly,as some mails had imp attachments??
Is there any way to view those mils properly.............

do you have MS Outlook installed in you home PC?
if yes then u sud be able to open .msg attachments after downloading them frm ur gmail.

if no.. thn i m not sure how you can view them
