The may edition of digit came with a copy of mandriva linux one iso.
I have a problem in using the distro. As reccomended, i burned the
image using alcohol120% software. Then, as usual, i booted into
the cd-rom. A blue screen with white font saying mandriva pops.
I select the boot mandriva option by pressing enter key. Blam !
a black screen comes and my cd-activity goes zero.... Even
after 1/2 hours, there is no change... Please help me with this
problem.

My system configuration is :
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ processor
ASUS M2N MX motherboard
2GB DDR2 Zion ram
NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS graphics card
Hitachi 80GB IDE HDD
Sony DVD-RW (can also connect samsung DVD-ROM)
Also running Windows XP SP2

it may not be ISO issue.it can be due to your graphics card/Display resolution not detected by Mandriva install disk.
there are some options listed if your press F1,2 etc or look at the bottom of the screen when you first see the boot prompt "boot: " line.
