MAC Problem

hi,

I recently bought an apple laptop. i would like to know how can I play VCDs on it. And are there any free softwares available for MAC Os X.

Install VLC player on the mac. It plays (almost?) any format you throw at it.

Even if you don't have VLC, you can play VCDs in Quicktime player, though, if you don't have the pro version you cannot watch it in fullscreen.

I don't know the download link of VLC, since I got it from my dealer, but I guess its easy to find....

1) Quicktime- This is the best.

2) VLC- www.videolan.org

3) MPlayer OS X- *mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/

sigh iDVD? what are u thinking mate.. that is a software with which you can make DVDs(a great one at that too).

Almost everything can be played in OS X without third party applications. With Panther, Apple have made ISO 9660 as the default standard for writing disks too.. so u don't need third part burning apps either

It does 99% of mac users don't exactly purchase it

I use toast for the funky menu styles with VCDs and DVDs

NO!

That is like officially the crappiest software available for mac. Just use quicktime/vlc for everything.. and "flip4mac" free version for running WMA/WMV files in Quicktime
