- I would prefer something which is light and portable (need not necessarily be an ultrabook). Screen size should be 15 or lesser.
3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
- My choice doesn't depend on which company I like or not. But a good ASS would be much appreciated. I heard Dell, Samsung, Lenovo & HP offer good service.
4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
- A lot of programming tasks (I need to dual boot the laptop with windows and Linux)
- Video conversion,compression and a little bit of editing
- Blogging and web design - I would be running Dreamweaver and few other related apps.
- And other usual things like web browsing, youtube etc.
- Occasional gaming - I'd play games like Assassin's Creed series, GTA, Arkham Asylum etc. - I don't mind for ultra high clarity; even if the game is good in medium settings, it is ok.
5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
- A Full HD screen is what I like.
- Glossy/Matte - alright this is a big debate, I like matte but still can opt for glossy if other things are good.
6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
- I don't worry much about Battery life. I would be happy if it atleast works for 2 hours.
- I can sacrifice gaming for portability.
