I had the same model. Not going to buy the same laptop again. :p

IMHO no point in buying any other laptop except that one. Sony sold VAIO off, Dell/HP have ULV configs  (why do these companies want to force ULV processors down our throats this much  )

Seriously what's the problem with a ulv when you are not even a moderate gamer and you never encode a single video. Is there such a drastic performance issue in gaming with ulv ??

This.
I won't do anything other than word processing, reading PDFs or surfing web on this laptop so I don't mind getting an ULV processor.

Gamin performance will surely suffer on an ULV processor.

ULV are meant for light gaming not those high end ones

Soon, ULV will be rendered useless for gaming.
Look the new games like Dead Rising 3(Capable of using 80% of core i7 quads) and Evil Within whose minimum requirement is a core i7 CPU with 4+ cores.

After searching the market for some time, I found out that this model has the best VFM. I used a G400s for a short duration of time and found no problems with it. I'm currently thinking of buying it again.

Hey did you try it? BTW I was having some issues on win 8.1 to downgraded to 8 for using SLI and never got the time to order the game.

8.1 has serious SLI issues. Stay on 8.
Dead Rising 3 has compatibility issues.
There is a lot of stuttering, texture tearing, flashing etc. However, 80% of the time the game works well with good scaling.

Yeah I got that the moment I started using SLI. Looks like I should order the game.

Don't expect to max it out. I played @1080p with resolution downscaled to 720p and everything else maxed out. Also, I used FXAA as SMAA causes more flashing.
Very poor SLI compatibility.

Mind posting a 3D Mark 11 score?

Would there be any problems with single USB 3.0 port in z50 as I would be copying lots of files over multiple external hds<br/>
