70k, can be stretched a bit but not much.
2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop. No games, but these software can get quite demanding so something with a little firepower is preferable.
5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
Preferably an H type processor and a non integrated graphic chip. A good screen is quite important.
4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

- Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen. But a thin and Light form factor is preferable as she needs to travel with it quite a bit.
