Laptop Buying Guide - Mininmum Ram 6 GB

Hi Folks, Need help in finding a good laptop for my self. I want to gift this to my parnets mostly for skype and day to day basi use web browsing, accessing document etc. I am planning for minimum 8 Gb ram considering many application RAM hungry applications ie chrome, skype and OS itself. My budget is till 40-42K. Appreciate your feedback.

I'm no HP fan, just that I found good laptops from HP at around 40k
