Hi guyz,

Update: I found that RAM is DDR 1. So which brand/company should I buy?(
for that post)

I cannot figure out if my existing RAM is DDR 1 or DDR 2. All I find is a label on the RAM that reads:
Code:
MDGBL4F3G38AODICO2
DDR 333(2.5) 256Mx8
S/N: 510TH(BLBDB1808)

[1] So it that DDR 1 or 2?
[2] If its DDR 1, can I get DDR 2 or vice-versa?
[3] Whats the approximate cost of DDR 1 and 2 of 256 and 512 MB in Thane(near Mumbai)

System config:
Code:
2.4 GHz Intel P4
256 MB RAM
80 GB HDD
Thank you
-Rohan

Legen-wait for it-dary!
[1] You have a DDR1 ram.
[2] Nope, a motherboard can support either DDR1 or 2, not both.
[3] Dunno, sorry.

Pathik, BTW.

AFAIK, 400 or less than 400 MHz is always DDR1
Thanks :)

Ok, I had just been to the store here and he quoted me Rs. 800 for 512 MB and Rs. 1650 for 1 GB of Transcend. Is the price correct? Should I buy it?

Another store quoted almost similar price for Dynate(or is it Dynet?) RAM. I had heard that Dynate RAMS are to be avoided.

So should I buy Transcend?

Thanks for your patience guyz.
