is brand new SD ram still available ???

my comp is 6 yrs old. how can i find whether ddr1 ram will work on it or not??? and incase it doesnt, is sd ram still available??? what would be the cost of a 512mb stick???

When i inquired about the SD ram last year, a 128MB stick was for Rs. 1000.
But who knows if that guy was making an a$$ outta me

@cynosure - i bought 128mb sd ram for rs.3200 two and a half yrs back. so rs.1000 doesnt seem to high.

@ganeshkumar - what was the ram size/capacity ???

I checked last week for my old PC here in Sangli. A 256MB@133Mhz sells for 1250/-
