The AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ processor will run at 2.00GHz and will contain 512KB of level two (L2) cache (256KB per core), while being made for the AM2 form-factor.
it looks more like a dual core Sempron, but it's out for one reason only....defeat PEentium D 805, but they shouldn't have decresed the cache, in AMD64 architecture cache does makes a lot of difference
Actually cache dosen't make any difference to the current gen AMD processors. That's why AMD is reverting back to 512 KB cache from 1 MB for their fastest processors.
It's a low cost dual core by AMD. Their previous cheapest dual core, X2 3800+ was too expensive for most so this lets AMD fans go dual core without burning a hole in their pocket. Also it's pitted against the Pentium D 805 which although is a good proccy has major heat issues. X2 3600+ will perform at the same level and keep temperatures under control.
