My sony vaio netbook warranty card says something like this.

warraty valid up to 1 year from date of purchase.
Without purchase invoice warranty is up to Oct-2012.

It was bought somewhere in sep-11. I am not sure how to interpret this clause!
Wish to know if anyone has idea what would such a clause actually mean.
Thx.

simple.. if you have the bill then the warranty is up to 1 year from the date on your bill, if you don't have a bill then also you can claim warranty but only up to OCT 2012.

so in a way if I don't show bill does it mean I get kind of extended warranty till oct-12 is over?
e.g. purchase was in sep-11. so would i get 1 month extra if i don't show bill.
