How to Start Computer Automatically At Specified Time

Hi. I have a computer that I wish to start automatically at a certain fixed time. The computer is always connected to Internet if that's required. Any software or trick will be great. If starting the PC from power off state isn't possible, then resuming it from sleep will also do.

One more thing- the computer is password protected which I know about.

Hard to set up but much better then SLEEP.
You can use android app for waking it up on time. Some online services will do it for you on "specified" time if you want.

I don't know about windows but I tried this on linux on my asus laptop.Works like a charm even if I shutdown my system

also check *secure.logmein.com/ I think its paid but has options to turn ON the machines, this will be manual.
In the case you want to turn it ON automatically then you need to keep the machine in sleep mode and use some third party apps that allow wake up at certain fixed times.
