How to create and restore ideal image of xp installation ?

hi

i want to install xp with all drivers & appz then would like to make bootable image of C drive over DVD and use this dvd for future installations again and again?

what i want to do in short is...1 dvd with xp pro OS +drivers + few appz
so i can use this in future only either on desktop or laptop

i have laptop and desktop and sick of frequent formattings and installation of drivers,appz.

how to do this ?
is it possible with acronis true image or Norton ghost?
pls if possible provide me links of tutorial?

both of them are good... i am using ghost for the same purpose but it takes a lot of time for the bootable cd to boot up u can ask for feedback regarding the acornis

Go for Acrionis True Image Home 10 . It's a very good and user friendly soft. I have ben using it for quite a some time and now i dare to tweak Windows without the fear of reinstalling windows everytime it gets damaged.i just format Drive C: and then resore from the backup created with Acronis True Image.

thanks i willl purchase acronis then but how to make bootable with it ?
