Hi,
I'm Shankar(new here)................
I recently got this game by aspire.......Top Spin 2.
I installed it but when i play the game the whole system just crashes in between and a blue screen pops up describing some fatal error( i read in one of digit's fast track guides and there it was called the BSOD:Blue Screen Of Death, pretty catchy i thought;)) but anyway coming back to the problem the game's minimum requirements are
Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512 MB RAM, 4.5 GB of free disk space, DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card, 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 128 MB with latest drivers, Windows XP compatible mouse and keyboard with latest drivers

i have a 1.8 ghz intel dual core e2160,1 gb ram, plenty of space, sound card compatible with directx 9.0c and all that rot. An intel 82945G Express Chipset Family with 128mb space for graphics with latest drivers and win XP as OS........
.......do u think my problem could be because of the lower processor speed.....

I was also faced BSOD error while Paying IGI2 on my old 82845 chipset.
But you have 82945 and all system requirements.
try to download Latest graphics driver from intel site.
Updating may fix it.

BSOD error many times occuress when operating system unables to cooperate with any hardware or recently installed software which demands some thing which is out of operating system power.
it is not a processor problem. Your dual core e2160 is capable enough.

Actually these types of problem not sure where is problem.
rather than trial and error.
as you say second game gived other error.
Install a fresh copy of xp with latest all drivers and dx 9.0c.
then try game.
one thing more i want to know what about other softwares of your system, are they working fine?
have you played any other game successfully on it?

i think your game(top spin 2) may be faulty.
ya all other software work fine..............................i've played NFS: Most Wanted black edition, Cricket 07, Marvel Ultimate Ulliance and stuff.
also this proves that your system is in fine condition.
Dont format it. you can follow one of two:
1. if possible check the same game(top spin2) on other system.
2. if not possible install a fresh copy of xp in other drive with latest graphics and sound as well as all necessary drivers and directx 9.0 c
then write!

Wrong. BSOD is caused when there is a driver corruption, or when two drivers conflict, or when a driver tries to access memory that it is not supposed to.

Solving this is a pain, but you can try disabling drivers of all virtual drive software, antivirus, firewall, etc, or any other app which loads drivers to use.

^^ Ha, I have college, and bloody travelling makes it worse.

Dont disturb me?? lol this is not YOUR PERSONAL forum, anyone can post anywhere.

there are many critical situations related to core of os when BSOD occurers.
Give an example, please. I have encountered several BSODs myself when I started learning kernel mode programming, and device drivers are the most often cause of it.

I hate your possessiveness over a thread, ive seen it done so many times, when you warn and insult users when you give a better solution than them. You better change your attitude, and become friendly to other users, and appreciate people who provide alternate solutions, and not criticise whose solutions you feel are inferior.

First of all, have a learning attitude. Dont try to criticise others all the time. Anyone can teach you anything. You dont know everything. And Why wouldnt I want to see you in the forum?
