Dear digitians

I was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, i use to watch free channels via eagle set top box. and the house owner has provided me with cable(it was connected to sattelite which was already setup by him). Now that i've moved to India. i want to setup the same in my home. im currently based in South india(dont wanna disclose location). i already own videocon d2h. but i want something free

i came across above link and also a forum in digit. but i wanna create new thread.can anyone help me with below queries

1) i wanna watch the channels for free?Free TV from India - LyngSat. how can i get these , which set top box i should buy.and cost
2)which sattelite i should buy, and where i can buy. the cost of satellite
3)is this legal? will anyone like cops or cable operators will harrass me or file a law suit for watching free in their area? as every city is going digital and december 2015 is deadline to switch to digital tv
