GPS device for machine

Hi,

I have a machine used for business, it is often moved a lot by people I don't really trust, I am planning to add a GPS device to it. It gets power only when it is used so I plan to add battery etc. in it.
So anyone ever had any experience with gps tracking device, I can find few on ebay from Rs. 2.5 K to 10K , most seems to have way to get location through sms.. is there device which uses GPRS to send location etc. ?

In USA, its pretty easy to get what you want.
Yes, with GPS, GPRS tracking info as well as standalone battery, there are many products like Trax, Amber Alert, etc. but they're bound to US carriers.

In India, getting such reliable devices is doubtable.

Well for a Student , I Tried it in India with failure , i could not find any such devices . There are some Chinese Imports but , sources tell me they dont work reliably in India.

But on the other hand i tried it 1 year ago , may be you would have better luck .

I have decided to first see what local vendors are offering.. then will decide..

Saw local vendors, only found Autocop T-1000 quoted for Rs. 6500 and he said it wont work if its inside some metal box (which is its intended place for me) .. talked other vendor, was saying brand as "smart" Rs. 4500 and said will work inside metal box also..

I am confused..
