IIRC, it's actually easier to emigrate there since they are constantly looking for skilled individuals due to the above-mentioned population issue. Don't know where I read about this so don't quote me on that.

Yupp, only issue is that they require minimum 10 years for the person to live there before he is eligible for PR, plus One has to learn Japanese which ain't easy. Still, they easily give work visa for individuals to work.
