Would be easier for us if you complete this questionnaire:

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:

11. Anything else which you would like to say?

3-4 months is a long time in pc components market, create a new thread 1-2 weeks before buying to get good suggestions.

P.S.this is just for future reference:
1.don't buy 120gb ssd,in fact buy only samsung 250gb ssd unless a better ssd comes along in next few months(chances are slim though as it hasn't happened in last 3-4 years ever since samsung launched their 250gb ssd).

2.don't buy "n" wifi device(whether pcie card or usb dongle),buy "ac" wifi device only.

3.there is no such thing as "future proof",all you can hope for is that your system is able to run everything reasonable(aka don't expect it to run 500mbps 8k videos in future) you want for next 4-5 years. In this regard getting amd system is better because amd support a motherboard socket type for at least 4-5 years so if you need to buy a new mobo after 3 years(standard mobo warranty) then with amd you can easily get it but with intel you will be stuck with some cheap outdated or chinese oem board.
