1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:cs 1.6(lol), cs cz(lol), CS GO, GTA IV, GTA V, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Watchdogs, BF4, crisis 3 and all other future games

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:50k(max) including monitor ~ extendable upto 60K

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Win 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:2TB(is SSD really needed?)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:yes, ~22-23" , 1080p

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Need all components

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:Mid Oct 2013

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:planning to build it myself

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Chennai, will buy mostly from Delta peripherals, Ritchie street(deltapage.com)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Please suggest the best possible config within the range. I would like to go with AMD as I haven't tried it still and its cheaper than Intel

That ECS board suggested by me is of much better quality than the suggested asus one. If you have the service centre near your home, get ECS. I think rma for ecs mobo is provided by Rashi Peripherals Pvt Ltd(correct me if i am wrong)

but it is in mumbai and op lives in chennai.
Whenever it comes to after market service/rma Asus has best record...

^ a.s.s. for asus is also provided by the same rashi peripherals and the service centers are present in major cities throughout the country.

Thanks all for ur suggestions, now I figured I can spend a 10k more .. so please pour in ur suggestions and also the config should be future proof as I won't be upgrading for next 3-4 years.

Guys please see this config below and pls do tweak it if its a little o'haul

fx 6300 - 7800
asus m5a99fx pro 2.0 - 11350
gskill ripjawsx 8gbx1 -- 5600
seagate 2tb - 6050
Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU - xxxx
Corsair Carbide 300R CPU Cabinet -xxxx
acer 21.5" -S220HQL - 8100
asus 7750 - 7950

The graphics card is a little low end.. but let me know if I can accommodate something better altogether in 60K budget :-D

totally unbalanced .... no need of 990FX chipset if you are not going to OC at all
here is my suggetion

fX 6300 @ 7.3k
Asus M5A97 r2.0@ 7.1k
G.skill ripjawsx 4GB @ 2.2k
Seasonic S12ii 520 @ 4.6k
NZXY gamma @ 2.2k
seagate 2 TB @ 6k
asus 24b5st @ 1k
dell s2240l @ 8.8k
logitech k200 @ 0.3k
lenovo m6811@ 0.7k
Zotac nVidia GTX 760 @ 20k
total = 50.2k
this is absolutely futureproof in gaming(@1080p) for next 2-3 years

Thanks a lot ankush, the games that I've mentioned in the post can be played at med/high settings with ease?

Also wrt the graphics card, I heard amd is releasing something new, is it worth the wait for my budget?

You were talking about this card rite ?ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 AMP Edition 2 GB Graphics Card - ZOTAC: Flipkart.com

Gamma cabby is enuf for accommodating this big card ? or 300r is best?

> GTX 760 can easily play all games at 1080p at medium to high settings.

> He was taking about the non AMP edition, but the AMP edition is a bit faster :)

> Yes it is worth waiting till benchmarks come out.

> Gamma is okay but 300R is obviously much better. get 300r if you can.

yeah i was talkin about non-amp...
but if you want something better then Asus 760 DC2 is also good, but zotac provides 5 year warrenty(if you register product in 14days)

Thanks for ur suggestions guys, if Zotac provides 5 yrs warranty then i'll go with that

I'll wait for AMD new releases if it fits my budget will consider that or else will go with Zotac one :)
